➡ Street Team
Director:
- recruitment and organization of volunteer team
- holding and distributing of assets to team members (i.e., Posters, Flyers and Postcards)
- assigning tasks and territories to volunteer team
Volunteers:
- getting posters hung in area businesses
- representing the Festival while tabling at area events
- handing out Festival marketing materials at area events
Ideal candidates are motivated, outgoing, self-starters with vehicle access.
Time commitment a few hours a week during the 3 month ramp-up to the Festival.
➡ Security
Director:
- organizes the team for festival day safety and security coverage.
- interfaces with partners from Village and County services as well as Pace security staff.
Ideal candidates are calm, fair-minded leaders who can take a pragmatic approach to security while fostering positive relationships with colleagues and the community.
Time commitment is a few hours per week, much of the day Friday before the Festival and all day during the Festival.
➡ Graphic Design
Assist our Design Director by:
- updating posters, banners, ads, digital art, programs, and collateral material
- coordinating with other department directors for any requests
- coordinating with printers, suppliers, and publications
- updates and refreshes
Ideal candidates have a mastery of and access to the Adobe Creative Suite, are able both to follow specs and create original designs that are still on brand. Must be able to follow a schedule, work as a team, pay attention to detail, and take constructive feedback.
Time commitment varies but is usually a few hours per week.
➡ Marketing
Assist our Director of Marketing by:
- identifying and evolving our marketing mix to reach and grow our audience
- working within a budget to stretch our reach and frequency
- creating an integrated schedule to hit all deadlines
- coordinating with the Design, Website, and Social Media teams
Ideal candidates have marketing, media, and/or brand management experience, familiarity with making the most of a marketing budget, and ability to work with a team and stay on schedule.
Time commitment is a few hours per week.
➡ Sponsorship
Assist our Director of Sponsorship by:
- identifying and actively soliciting sponsors of all levels
- coordinating with potential sponsors, Director of Sponsorship, and Executive Director to create and customize sponsorship packages
- coordinating any necessary paperwork, payments, and insurance
- helping us grow our Festival budget while keeping ticket prices low
- sharing sponsor information with Website and Design teams
Ideal candidates are self-starters with sales and sponsorship experience who are able to represent the Festival and the Village professionally.
Time commitment is up to the candidate but is usually a few hours a week, with most activity in the spring.
➡ Vendor Management
Assist our Director of Vendors by:
- coordinating all necessary vendor paperwork
- working with vendors to ensure they understand and follow Festival policies and procedures
- maintaining an active database of vendors, wares, and contact information
- helping to ensure a diverse and balanced variety of food and non-food offerings
- coordinating with the Director of Vendors and Parks Foreperson to plan out Vendor Village
- sharing vendor information with Website and Design teams
- supervising load-in on the morning of the Festival and being present throughout the Festival on the day of the event.
Ideal candidates are responsible and have excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Time commitment is a few hours per week and throughout the day of the Festival.
➡ Stage and Show Operations
Assist our Director of Show Operations by:
- coordinating with the outside staging company
- recruiting and developing the volunteer stage crew
- loading in and loading out stage, sound, light, and musical equipment
- managing and coordinating crew on the day of the event
Ideal candidates have great organization and people skills, plus previous experience putting in a satisfying few days’ work with stage and show equipment.
Time commitment is a few hours per week, much of the day Friday before the Festival and all day during the Festival.
